California Day 3 – 17 Mile Drive

On our third day in California, Anthony’s uncle Tom took us on a tour of 17 Mile Drive, a long stretch of road that runs along the coast in Pacific Grove and Pebble Beach. The area is amazing – the rocky Pacific coast is lined with beaches, golf courses, and beautiful estates. This tree is called the Lone Cypress, and we stopped along the road to take some pictures. We also stopped for a walk on the beach in Carmel. The sand was amazingly soft! Even though it was a pretty cool day and we were all in sweaters and jackets, there were some crazy people wearing bathing suits and playing in the ocean. There were tons of awesome houses along the coast in Carmel, and I would happily move into this one tomorrow. At the end of our tour we stopped at the Carmel Mission Basilica, which was surrounded by beautiful flowers.

Later that night we celebrated Anthony’s grandmother’s birthday with a wonderful dinner! It was such a great trip and so nice to spend time with the whole family.
